You can export and import firewall policies :
1. Right click on firewall policies and click Export…:
2. Type name for policy and click Export:
3. Now i delete the policy and then i will import that, so right click on policy and click Delete:
4. Then we will get error window:
Because of this policy assigned to groups. Before delete the policy we need to withdraw the policy, So Select policy and click Withdraw the policy:
5. Select group which you assigned before and click withdraw:
6. Now we can delete the policy:
7. To import policy click on Import a Firewall policy under the Tasks panel:
8. Select firewall policy and click Import:
9. After importing policy you need to assign that policy to groups, so right click on firewall policy and click Assign…:
10. Assign Firewall policy window select group which you want to assign policy and click Assign:
You can export and import firewall rules and settings from another Firewall policy so that you do not have to re-create them. For example, you can import a partial rule set from one policy into another. To import rules, you first have to export the rules to a .dat file and have access to the file.
To export firewall rules:
- Right Click on firewall policies and click Edit:
2. Right click on rule which you want to export and click Export…:
3.Type name for file and click Export:
4. Now i delete the rule and then i will import that:
5. So after deleting rule right click on any rule click import and select rule file and click Import:
6. As you see firewall rule imported:
