Openfiler is a good choice to setup a storage appliance to provide shared storage with NFS or iSCSI.
To install openfiler go to download latest openfiler software from this download link.
Create virtual machine and boot the virtual machine with the installation ISO and Press Enter to start the installation:
Click next :
Select languages and click next:
Choose drive which you install openfiler and click next:
By default network your network adapter will be configured for DHCP, recommenced to set that for manual and type your hostname and other setting and click next:
select your time zone and click next:
Type password and click next to start installation and the end reboot system:
And once the VM rebooted you can access web-based administration console from browser:
