As we know VMware vSphere® 6.0, the industry-leading virtualization platform, empowers users to virtualize any application with confidence, redefines availability, and simplifies the virtual data center.
Increased Server Scalability
Compare vSphere® 6.0 and vSphere® 5.5 we can say that there are lots of new and enhanced features along with increased sociability. So If we take a look picture below we see that vSphere 5.5 the maximum supported host memory was 4TB , but vSphere® 6.0 is 12 TB RAM , If we compare vSphere® 6.0 and vSphere® 5.5 host per cluster and VM per cluster those increase twice . In vSphere 5.5 the maximum supported (physical) CPUs per host was 320 CPUs, in vSphere 6 that increases to 480 CPUs. And the end virtual machines per host increases 512 to 1000.
VM scalability
Also increased VM scalability:
vSphere Client
- Web Client is more responsive, more intuitive, and more streamlined than ever before
- Virtual Infrastructure Client 6.0 (C#) will be still available
