Configuring directory services and users on Symantec Data Insight 4.5

Previous article we looked at installing Symantec Data Insight 4.5. Today we will look at Configuring directory services and users.

So lets begin:

Configuring directory services

Log in your  Symantec Data Insight management server and navigate to Setting->Directory Services and click Active Direcotry under the Add New Directory Service:

Type your Domain Name and DC IP and click on Add New…:

On this window we will create new credentials for directory services, Type all needed information and click Save:

Click Test Credentials for verify that:

And click to  Save :

After adding Directory service information you can click Scan Now for scan directory server:

Click OK on the Scan Started information window:

After that you can see Active directory users under the Users Tab:

Configuring users

To add another user to manage Data Insight management server  Click Add New Data Insight User under the Setting-> Data Insight Users:

Type  Username, Domain name and select user role and click Add New User:

As you see new Server Administrator user added to Data Insight, You can edit or Delete  that user from the Action panel :
