Snapshots preserve the state and data of a virtual machine at the time you take the snapshot. Snapshots are useful when you must revert repeatedly to the same virtual machine state, but you do not want to create multiple virtual machines. Snapshots are useful as a short term solution for testing software with unknown or potentially harmful effects.
To Take a Snapshot in the vSphere Client follow steps below:
- Log in to vSphere Client:
2.Right-click the virtual machine the inventory and select Take Snapshot…:
3. Type a name for the snapshot and click ok:
4. Next picture shows that Creating virtual machine snapshot:
5.To look at Snapshot Right-click the virtual machine the inventory and select Snapshot Manager…:
6. If you want to delete it , In the Snapshot Manager, click a snapshot to select it and Select a delete option:
