In this article we will look at how to install the Security server :
As we know Security Server allows external users to access their virtual desktop in the internal network from the Internet. The Security server is installed on Windows Server and placed on the DMZ network of the company network.
Let’s begin:
1. Double-Click on selected application :
2. On the “Welcome to the installation Wizard for VMware Horizon 7 connection server” page, click Next :
3. Accept the license agreement after read all carefully and click next:
4. Click Next to install to this folder, or click change to install to a different folder. I keep that as default.
5. In this page, We will select the type of Horizon connection server instance. Select Horizon 7 Security Server and click next:
6. In this page, A Horizon 7 Security is paired with an existing instance of a Horizon 7 Connection Server. Enter the server name of any existing Horizon 7 connection server instance and click next:
7. Enter the paired password to pair with horizon 7 connection server(To create pair password log in to connection server and go to Servers > Connection Servers tab > More Commands > Specify Security Server Pairing Password ):
8. You can configure this screen if you want or leave the same as a default. Please notes that the hostname must be resolvable by the Horizon Client:
9. On Firewall Configuration page Make sure that firewall ports are open. Click Next:
10. Click install to start installation on Ready to Install the program page:
11. Click Finish to complete installations:
